Why Partnership Matters

Partnership at Crossings is a commitment to live out our identity and calling as servants and ambassadors of Christ. It is both an invitation and a commitment to fully pursue together the grace, mercy and joy of Jesus in life for our city and for the nations.

Partnership Commitments

Partners are the saints of God who do the work of the ministry, and partnership is a commitment to being on mission and living out life together with other believers. These believers men and women are “partners” rather than “members,” because we think that word more clearly describes the heart of the New Testament (Ephesians 4:11-14).

How Do I become a Partner at Crossings?

Ways to begin the process include: responding to the response time at the end of one of or worship services, setting up a meeting with the pastor, or simply by attending the Essentials Class.

Complete an Essentials Class

Essentials Class is where the process for Crossings Church family begins. During this class we communicate our doctrines and beliefs, and communicate the practical application of our mission: to share Jesus and build bridges to people within our community. Completion of this class is a Crossings partnership requirement but anyone who would like to learn more about our church is encouraged to attend. Classes are offered 6 times a year and require pre-registration. We offer the classes on Wednesday evening spring and fall and Sunday afternoons and they last around 4 hours. The classes are designed for ages 13 and up. A parent must accompany minors.

Participate in a Partners Interview

At the conclusion of each Essentials Class, the prospective partner meets with an Essential leader to provide basic biographical information and recount God’s converting work in his or her life. Prospective partner also provide a brief history of their spiritual background to the Essential Leader. The ways to partner with the church include: 1) Baptism by immersion, 2) Statement of Faith in Christ.
